Comet vs Atlas: The AI Web Browser Showdown!
If you have lived in Chrome for a decade, I get it. It’s familiar, fast, and everywhere.
But freelancers like me are paid for outcomes and offers, not browser loyalty - and two AI native browsers now offer a real upgrade to everyday workflows.

Atlas Overview
Atlas is OpenAI’s ChatGPT browser for macOS. It bakes chat into every page, remembers your preferences, and opens search in split view with chat. On paid plans, it can even take actions for you inside your tabs.
Comet Overview
Comet is Perplexity’s AI assistant browser. It keeps the workflow clean and reliable - ideal when you’re not on macOS or don’t have a paid ChatGPT plan.
My Recommendations
My advice is simple:
macOS + Paid ChatGPT Plan: Choose Atlas.
Everyone Else: Choose Comet (for now).
