What is Harlakenden
Harlakenden is a New England gothic mystery told through audio and an interactive website. The house is the narrator you cannot fully trust. Records distort. Maps shift. A transcript hides more than it reveals. Your job is to read between the lines.
If you love historical fiction podcasts, eerie mysteries, interactive storytelling, ARG-adjacent hunts, old technology like reel-to-reel, and the haunted feel of New England estates, this is for you.

How the Interactive Site Works
The Episode 0 page includes two key sections built in Figma Make during the #figmamakeathon:
Audio Player created from the episode file and transcript.
Discovery section where the transcript reveals Clues. Tap to surface hints that connect to maps, mottoes, and time-slip artifacts inside the Harlakenden world.
Listen to Episode 0, scan the transcript, decipher the clues, and follow the trail into the rest of the site.
Episode 0: Cartographer’s Invitation
A reel wakes the house. The ground edits the record. You are invited to chart what cannot be fixed.
The Host guides you into the first chamber of the archive and asks you to listen more carefully than you think you need to.

Episode 1 of Harlakenden, a historical fiction and mystery podcast, is slated to release in early 2026.
